Day 29 – Williamstown to Adelaide

Another beautiful, cool day with stunning scenery and only 60kms of riding to get to Adelaide!

We descended and descended and descended, and climbed, and descended down and up and over through the Adelaide Hills into the city. The most exciting part was when we were going downhill at 60kms/hr round very tight corners with a steep drop-off on one side and a rocky cliff face on the other and a foolish ute decided to try and overtake us before the next tight corner about 50 metres away! All I can say is I’m glad the Captain is such a good tandem driver!

We got onto a bike path about 20kms from the city centre and cruised on in by lunchtime. Since then we have booked into a hotel, visited the Tour Down Under expo where the Captain was in Skoda heaven, ate some great food and are looking forward to a comfy hotel bed for a couple of nights!
